Welcome to The Unapologetic Man Podcast, the only podcast that's all about self-improvement, confidence, success, women, and being a man without making any apologies for it. What is up, guys? Thank you for tuning in to another episode of the UMP. I really do appreciate it. Today, I am going to talk about five books that I highly suggest you guys read as an unapologetic alpha silverback. These five books are certainly not a complete list of all the books that I would recommend, but these are probably my five favorites, especially in the realm of what you and I do, which is developing ourself as a man, becoming more attractive to women, having the right mindset to get the things that we want to get in life, which, of course, is happiness.
Peace. We want to be on purpose. So I'm going to go through a range of books from Masculine Development to Spirituality to Cultivating the Warrior Within Us, all the things that I think that we should do as men. And these are my five favorite books. And you can get all of these on Audible, which as podcast listeners, I can only assume that a lot of you guys do get audio books. I strongly suggest that I listen to them all the damn time. And you can definitely listen to all of these there.
Of course, you can buy them in paperback or hardback as well. But these ones, particularly, I suggest you do Audible and then listen to them several times. Did you know that when you listen to or read a book, you only retain 30 percent of it the first time you listen to it? So even my podcast, you've probably listened to several episodes. I know a lot of you guys binge listen. You've only retained 30 percent of it. So if you like an episode, what you should definitely do, especially in my podcast, is up my downloads and go listen to those again, over and over again until you completely retain it.
One of the books I'm going to suggest I have virtually memorized because I've listened to it so often. Love the guy's voice. It's absolutely the number one book I would recommend to anybody. So I'll save that one for the last one. Before I jump into the content, I want to tell you guys again that I am doing those free breakthrough sessions on Zoom where you and I meet one on one for about 30 minutes to an hour. And I had a couple of people ask me, do I take advanced students?
Do I take advanced students? Well, here's my answer to that, brother. If you get any value whatsoever from my podcast, if you think my podcast is good, my fucking coaching program absolutely blows this shit out of the water. It is the creme de la creme, my premium content. And yeah, I take advanced students. I've taken guys who are dating coaches themselves. I've taken guys who have harems. I have taken famous people who have Instagram followings that would blow your mind, who are getting all kinds of girls because smart guys know that to be the best of the best, you invest in yourself.
I've even hired coaches and things that I thought I was a master at and learn so much more. I mean, I'm hiring podcast coaches. I have an NLP coach. I have business coaches. And, you know, it's easy to get kind of arrogant in your skills and be like, well, I don't need anybody else's help. I'll just kind of listen to this free content, get some extra shit to add to my game, and that'll be enough. But can you imagine how much more your game would multiply if you had somebody intensively going into your head and reprogramming it?
Because I guarantee you, you have shit in there that's holding you back. Can you imagine if you got all my skills, all my premium content, me coaching you personally, what could happen with your dating life? I mean, if you want to get better and you think you're already great and you can't get something from Mark Singh because, oh, he only works with hard cases. Yeah, I work with hard cases, but I also work with guys who are experts. And that's the cool thing about my system is that it's structured in a way where it's multilayered to address both those basic 10,000-foot perspective issues when it comes to women, female psychology, attraction, but also highly, highly advanced shit.
And I love taking advanced guys because those guys get fucking phenomenal results. I mean, it's insane. A lot of my clients get too many women. They can't even keep up. And that's where I teach you the spreadsheet method where you keep a spreadsheet just to maintain and keep all your shit together. When you're dealing with, you know, 10-plus women, it becomes like a full-time job. But, yeah, man, I absolutely take advanced students. So if you want to get better, personally, I think my program is by far the best on the market.
I mean, I can't even express in words just how much I believe in it. I just think it's the shit because I've taken a bunch of stuff. I've read all the books on it. I've taken programs. I've done boot camps. And I'm actually going to talk about that a little bit at the end here. But nothing, in my opinion, compares to this program. And I have testimonials and I have a reputation that supports that. I think I'm the best dating coach out there. I really do.
I'm not saying that everybody else sucks, but I think I'm the best. And I think to be the best, you have to believe you're the best. And that's what I believe. And I'm constantly working to get better. I'm constantly improving what I do. I want to be the fucking best. I want to be the Lionel Messi of dating coaches. Lionel Messi, for those of you who don't know, which you should be ashamed of, if you don't know who that little fucker is, he is by far the best soccer player that ever existed.
And all you Ronaldo fans don't agree with you, bro. Ronaldo is not better than Messi. Hell no. Just look at the stats, dude. Just look at that little fucker go. It's like the ball is glued to his foot when he's dribbling around people. Unbelievable. He's a living legend, boys. So if you have the chance to ever go see him or if you've seen him, I seriously envy you because it's like a living Buddha, in my opinion. And I'm actually going to talk about who I believe is a living Buddha, who's alive today, who you should also go see.
So enough yammering on about all that. Let's jump into the books. The number one book, at least on this list, that I suggest you guys specifically listen to. Now, when I say you guys, it's you champions out there who are trying to improve yourself, you champions who want to become unapologetic, masculine, alpha males and become the best version of yourself you possibly can be. Here's the book. It's called Mindset by Carol Dweck. D-W-E-C-K. Definitely available on Audible. Obviously available on hardback and paperback. But this book, in my opinion, is one of the most important books you will ever read when you're trying to develop yourself as a man.
It talks about, that's right, mindset and how people have either a growth mindset or a fixed mindset. Real quick summary of the book. Growth mindset means that you take growth as your number one priority. And even if you fail along the way, it doesn't matter to you because you want to grow. Now, one of the things that I ask on my coaching application is, do you want to attract women just to get, quote unquote, your dick wet? Or do you want to grow as a man and become the best version of yourself you can be?
Now, this question is pretty obvious for anybody who's listened to my podcast for any amount of time. They know what I want to hear. But I do want to hear it. I want men who want to fucking grow. Women should be a side benefit. Growth as a man, becoming the best version you can be, becoming a fucking champion should be your number one priority. Now, those with the growth mindset do not mind failing along the way. Do not mind being made a fool of, being embarrassed, being rejected.
What they want most is growth. And because they know that failure is the stepping stone to growth, they go into situations where they will fail in order to grow. Now, those with the fixed mindset believe that failure is a testament to their ability as a human being. Therefore, they don't want to fail. And they put themselves in situations where things are easy and they stress out over failing. And they think that their results are what dictate who they are. And they base their ego around it.
This, by the way, is the reason over 90% of people quit Brazilian Jiu Jitsu within the first six months. 90%. That's the same failure rate as BUDS training for the Navy SEALs. Actually, I think BUDS training is a little bit less now. No way am I comparing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to BUDS training. Nothing can compare to that shit. That's the fucking modern equivalent of the Spartan of go-gay. And I highly respect those dudes. In fact, one of the books I love to read or many of the books I love to read is about BUDS training.
Because to me, I want to get into that mentality of the never fucking quit attitude. I will not fail. I am never out of the fucking fight. Love that mentality. But in Jiu Jitsu, 90% of people fail. Why? Because the vast majority of people have a fixed mindset. Fixed mindset where they're getting tapped out left and right. They're getting choked out, arm barred, leg locked. And they can't take it because their ego can't accept the fact that they're not as tough as they thought they were. So they quit.
Those with a growth mindset stay in because they know the more they get tapped, they're going to learn how to do that to somebody else. And the more they fail, the better they become. So this book, Mindset, in my opinion, is one of the biggest game changers, especially for a dude like you who's obviously trying to improve. You wouldn't have clicked on this shit unless you were. Download that shit today, bro. Today. It's really interesting. It tells stories about people who have that growth versus fixed mindset, how they're successful when you have a growth mindset, how people who have a fixed mindset struggle throughout their entire lives just trying to prove this innate skill that they believe they're born a certain way and that needs to be proved through their results.
Those with a growth mindset, it's just like it sounds, growth. They think that you can grow. They think you can become more intelligent. You can actually lift your IQ. They think they can learn whatever it is the fuck they have to learn. They think if they wanted to, they could literally take the house that you're in right now or the house that you're living in or the apartment building and move it with their own fucking hands. And I believe that, man. You see that mountain over there?
I'll fucking move it because I have the will. I have the growth mindset. I know I can become that man who can move that fucking mountain. And the only way to become a millionaire, the only way to become successful with women is to have that growth mindset. So to adopt this, first read that book, then really meditate on it and understand that that is necessary for your success. All right. The second book is about becoming a fucking warrior, an unapologetic alpha silverback. And this, in my opinion, is the best fiction book ever written.
It's a masterpiece, in my opinion. It's called Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield. Gates of Fire. It's about the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae. I have read that book about six times. I've listened to it on audiobook probably over 10 times because there are so many lessons embedded in what's an amazingly written story. Just an absolute masterpiece of what happened at Thermopylae. And speaking of BUDS, which is the Navy SEAL training to get in to become a Navy SEAL, it's actually required reading for all BUDS candidates. So every single person who goes into BUDS has to read this book.
Why? Because it teaches the warrior ethos in an interesting way that tells a story that's extremely engrossing. I mean, you can't put it down. It's so fucking good, especially when they get to the gates, the hot gates, Thermopylae. Whereas, remember, it was the 300 Spartans against like the myriad of Persians. This book is absolutely phenomenal. It's not like anti-Persian either. I know there's some like racist connotations that people kind of have some trepidation about. It's history, man. It's history. It has nothing to do with today's struggles.
But when we say Persians, that's what they were called back then, the Persian hordes, right, led by Xerxes. But if you can get over that, even if you are Persian, it's not about your current race or your current ethnicity. It's what happened in the world. And it talks about the most amazing ethos of the man, the unapologetic man. What does it mean to be a man? And one of the warrior doesn't train to fight the enemy so much, but instead, he trains to fight the enemies within himself.
And that man just really hits home for me that discipline, self-sacrifice, serving, doing what it takes to keep your country safe and your family safe is what it means to be a fucking man. So that book, Gates of Fire, oh, my God, bro. I think that should be required reading for every fucking man who wants to step fully into his masculinity. Read that book several times. There's so many hidden points about the warrior ethos, so many points about what it means to be a man, so many points about masculinity and fear and what the opposite of fear really is.
It's just a masterpiece. God, I love that book. Fuck. I want to read that shit again right now. All right. First, we have Mindset by Carol Dweck. And second, we have Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield. The third book is going to be on the financial end of things. I suggest Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. T. Harv Eker, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. This book absolutely reprograms your mind. It doesn't have NLP in it per se, but it has some pretty cool steps in it to start getting you to think in a way that builds wealth.
And wealth is all mentality. Sure, it includes managing money. I actually have two different financial advisors now because I'm really into managing my wealth right now. But the mentality of money is so goddamn important. And most importantly, it tells you how to manage your money, where to put your money, how much percent of what, into where. So damn important. And I could not suggest this book enough. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. All right. The fourth book is another masterpiece, in my opinion. It's just an absolute, absolute must read for you guys who are into the self-development thing.
It's the seven habits of extremely effective people. This book absolutely was a game changer for me because it's not so obvious. It's not so much like tactile, okay, do this every day, do that every day. But it's more of a philosophy. And the philosophy is completely incongruence with being a man. What is masculinity, right? And he talks a lot about these kinds of philosophies. And when you get to the end of the book, you're like, goddamn, that was more like a spiritual text on what it means to be a man, what it means to be responsible, what it means to provide, preside, and protect your family.
It's an absolute masterpiece. I highly suggest it. The seven habits of highly effective people. And that's by Stephen R. Covey, C-O-V-E-Y. All right, guys. And the final book is what I feel is the most important book ever written. This is the one book I would take with me onto a desert island where I only had one book to take. This is the book that I would take into solitary confinement. This is the book that I would suggest, the one single book that I would suggest to any guy if I only had one book to suggest.
It's The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. T-O-L-L-E. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. All right. So this could be 55 podcasts on its own. So I'm going to let the book do its own explaining. Just get that book. Just trust me. Just listen to it. Now, it is more of a spiritual book. But the point that it makes is so profound. It's so necessary. It's so important to you as a man in your own self-development to understand what the concept is in this book. That I suggest, no matter what your religion is, no matter what your belief systems are, even if you've read books about being in the present moment, mindfulness, meditation, and all that shit, don't worry.
Just get the book. Just trust me. And I do suggest getting it in an audio book because the author, in my opinion, is a living Buddha. This is an enlightened master. This is somebody who comes around once every five generations kind of level of spiritual mastery that when he's speaking, the energy that comes from him, in my opinion, helps you get into the very state that he's talking about. So I literally have this book partially memorized because I listen to it so much. Why do I listen to it so much?
Not so much because of the content, but because, again, his voice gets me into the state that he speaks about, gets me into what is the most important part of any of our lives, which is peace, gets me into peace. Again, I'm going to let the book explain it, but even if you guys are kind of like, nah, man, I don't want to get into that spirituality, airy-fairy shit, just trust me. Just trust me. There's something inside of you that is going to be unlocked when you listen to this.
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. And if you look him up and you're like, whoa, he talks really weird, just give him a chance. Okay? That's your ego talking. That's the crap that's covering up the real you. Don't let me launch too much now into a tangent, but just trust it and just listen to it. And I'll tell you what, for those of you who pick it up, try to listen to it, try to read it, and it just doesn't do it for you and you just can't stand it and you can't keep listening to it, put it down and save it for later.
Okay? A seed will be planted that will take root later in life. Some of you guys just aren't ready. And I'm not saying you're less than me or less than him or anything like that. This is a development. It's an evolution. And this is the highest level of evolution as a man. Everything that he talks about, this is the final chapter. This is enlightenment. This is where we're all headed, in my opinion. Like the Buddhists say, every blade of grass will become enlightened. What does that mean?
It means we're all destined to wake up. And what he talks about is the waking up process and what that experience is and what it means to you as a man. So please buy that book. Get it on Audible. It's the most important book ever written, in my opinion. Even more important than the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, any of those spiritual texts. Even, and this book should have made the list as well, I'll say it's book number six, the Tao Te Ching, which is Stephen Mitchell's translation.
Stephen Mitchell. I have the entire introduction of that book, literally 15 minutes, completely word for word memorized, completely memorized. That's how much I've read it. That's how much I've listened to it. It is an absolute masterpiece of a spiritual book. The Tao Te Ching, T-A-O-T-E-C-H-I-N-G. And get the Stephen Mitchell version. It's a little gray book. It may have a different title or a different cover now, but it's a little gray book with like black rocks on it. Absolute masterpiece. But again, if you don't want to get that book, get The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.
Absolutely changed my life. Absolutely changed my life. Now, some of you might be wondering, well, wait a minute. Why didn't this guy suggest a seduction book like 90% of his damn podcasts are about how to get girls? What the hell is going on here? Because through my vast cope of experience, I don't think you can learn seduction just from a book. I really don't. Seduction is an experiential skill set that you have to do in field in order to master it. Okay. So if you get a book on seduction, yeah, you can learn about it, but it's the same thing as reading a book about baseball and expecting to go get good at baseball.
You got to get out there on the field and play the game in order to master it. That's why if I had to suggest a course or a book on seduction, you know what I'm going to say? It's my three-month coaching program. Why? Because not only does it fucking teach everything about seduction from A to Z, not only does it reprogram your brain, but there's an element to it where you're actually getting out into the field and doing the necessary work to get good at it.
Yeah, there's great books on seduction. I've read them all and it does contribute to my scope of knowledge about how attraction works, about how seduction works on my gambits and stuff like that, but nothing can replace the experience of being in field. Then that begs the question, why don't I go do a bootcamp? Because a bootcamp is usually one weekend, maybe a couple weekends, or if you do an immersive thing for like a couple of weeks. Yeah, that's fine. But it takes longer than just a couple of weeks to learn this shit.
How long does it take? Three months. Three months. That's why my program is three months long. And as I tell every client, you're going to learn everything in the three months. I'm going to reprogram your brain in three months, but it's going to take even longer than that. For some of you, it's going to take a year. For some of you, it's going to take two years, depending on where you start to get to that level that you want to be at. And a lot of guys say, the level I want to be at, Mark, is where you're at, where it's like nines and tens all around you.
You're the fucking girl magnet. Girls have fought over you. You can basically get any girl you want. That's going to take more than three months for the majority of people, unless, like I talked about in the beginning of this episode, you're super advanced. But in those three months, I give you all the experience you need. I give you all the reprogramming you need. I give you all the knowledge you need to launch like a jet. Off the goddamn aircraft carrier and go tackle and achieve your goals in the amount of time that's going to take you.
So the three months, it's not like you have to re-sign up again for another three months with me. It's three months for me to teach you everything. And then I send you on your way to go get more experience in the field and get even better at attracting women. And again, if you're advanced, it could take you two months before you're at the level you want to be at where you're like getting solid tens. You have a harem of whatever it is that your goal is.
It's different for every guy. But if you just ask me, well, what's the best seduction book? I mean, there is no best seduction book because that's not the right way to learn seduction. Again, it's like trying to learn. It's trying to like become Leo Messi when you're reading a book. Like I'm going to sit in my basement and read a book about soccer and then try to become as good as Lionel Messi, which is what a lot of you guys want to do when it comes to women.
You want to be like the Lionel Messi of seduction and you think it's going to come from a book. It's not. So that's why I feel I would never suggest a book about seduction. I mean, I can learn some shit and I'm sure there are some good ones out there. I've read a couple of better ones than others, but mostly it's the same. No, no, no. You need a program, an immersive experience to put you in the field, to put you in front of women, to get you experience, to get you that personal coaching, to get you that NLP remapping.
Because again, it's not just going to come from a book that you're going to have the right mentality. I mean, this is psychological shit. This is like the hardest part of being a man is seducing women. And in my opinion, women are the ultimate barometer. So when you improve with women, you improve with all things. And that's why it's difficult. And that's why you can't just get it from a book because it's hard. It's like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. You can't just learn that shit from a book.
You got to get on the mat and put hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears into that mat before you can earn that right to call yourself a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu player with any kind of skill set. Same thing with chicks. So no, I don't have a book about seducing women. I have a program and that program is the shit in my humble opinion. It's the absolute shit. So if you want to get on a free one-on-one breakthrough session with me to discuss whether or not I think I can help you, whether or not I think my program would be able to get you to your goals with women, no matter how bad you are or even how good you are, hit me up, man.
Go to my website, coachmarksing.com. Click on coaching, fill out the application. We'll see if we're a good fit. If we are, we'll get on that phone together. You don't have to commit to buying anything when you get on the call with me. We're basically feeling each other out. And I'm going to tell you straight up if I think I can help you. And I don't take every guy who signs up, even guys who are like waving credit cards in my faces, I'm like, bro, I just don't feel like you're a good fit for this, whatever.
Maybe you live in a place where there's not a lot of girls. Maybe you just have like severe emotional problems that are like above the scope of my ability as a seduction coach. I don't know. All kinds of different circumstances come to me. So I'm not guaranteeing anything. You're not guaranteeing anything to me. Let's meet. It's like a first date. We're going to feel each other out. There's no commitments. If I'm a good fit for you, you're a good fit for me. We'll move forward and get you to your results with women.
And I will say again, I feel like I'm the best guy out there. And if you want to see if you feel the same way, if you want to see what this program is really about, get on that call with me, brother. Coachmarkstein.com. Again, click on coaching and fill in the application. I'm also going to leave a link in the description below that you can click on. It'll take you right through it. All right, gentlemen, thank you for listening. I do appreciate it. I drop podcasts on Mondays and Thursdays.
