Music playing in bright rhythm. Welcome to the Unapologetic Man Podcast. The only podcast that's all about self-improvement, confidence, success, women, and being a man without making any apologies for it. What is up, gentlemen? Thank you for tuning in to another episode of the UMP. I really do appreciate it. I don't know about you, man, but that introduction gets me so fired up, dude. The first time I heard that, man, I think my weightlifting went up by 19.36%. All it makes me want to do is get out there and be a mushroom cloud lame motherfucker.

So I asked those guys. They're called Midnight Express. I asked them, could I please use some of your music in my podcast? And I got a really cool response from one of the members. He says, go for it, brother, and share with us the episode. So Midnight Express, brothers, I absolutely love what you do. The first time I heard that shit, I was like, yes, this is what I'm looking for. And it took me so long to find that because I was like, man, I want some music that's like war chants, like Native Americans getting ready to go to fucking battle.

And when I first heard that, I immediately added it to my playlist, which you boys can find on Spotify, Mark's Lift Heavy Ass Weights. There's a lot of screaming in there. There's a lot of war in there. So if that doesn't suit you, then here's what I suggest. Go ahead and look in your underwear or perhaps get a mirror, kind of stick it down there and see if perhaps there's a vagina in your pants because that's the sound of a killer. And today, we're going to talk about why you should embrace the killer inside yourself, the monster inside yourself that, yes, is in you.

And a lot of us are trying to repress it. A lot of us are saying that it's wrong. Things like toxic masculinity are making us feel guilty for being aggressive warriors. And in this episode, I want to talk about how to harness that energy to be the protector, to be the provider and the presider of your family, your friends and your brothers, to be the sheepdog that protects the sheep from the wolves. And that is your job as a man. So once again, that band is called Midnight Express.

I strongly suggest you guys check them out. And I'm going to include that entire song at the very end of this episode after my closing music finishes. It's called Honor Song, man. Honor Song. So sick. And I'm going to include a few of their songs at the end of my playlist. Mark's Lift Heavy Ass Weights on Spotify. But if you're not on Spotify, I'm sure you can find them. They do have a Facebook page, Midnight Express. Hey, Midnight Express, if you're listening, I would love nothing more than to come to one of those events where you guys play live.

Just be careful, man. I'm going to start a fucking riot. I'm going to be so pumped. I just absolutely love that music. So today we're talking about, as I said, man, all you guys have a killer inside you. And a lot of us are afraid of that killer inside of us. And we repress it. And we deny that it's there. Brings me back to a moment I had when I was in college. We were talking about the Holocaust. And this girl says, you know, I don't understand how anybody could do that.

I don't understand how human beings are able to kill each other like that. And her comment was coming from a good place. And I could see why she said it. But I actually raised my hand and I said, you know what? You're the product who I fear most. Because if you're not willing to embrace that killer inside yourself, which we all have inside of us, you're not going to be able to control it. And it's those people who are ignorant to the fact that, yes, even females have a killer inside them are the ones who are most likely to become killers.

Speaking of the Holocaust, as well as the atrocities that were done to the Native Americans, its custom will reconcile people to any atrocity, which is a quote by George Bernard Shaw, which means systematic pushing towards insanity will make people think that it's sane. That custom, what everybody else is doing, will reconcile you, make you think it's okay to commit any kind of atrocity. But when you realize that you're able to commit those atrocities and channel that warrior inside yourself into positive means to be, as I said, the provider, protector, and provider of your family and friends, you're more likely to control it.

Jordan Peterson, who goes on to the Joe Rogan podcast a lot, he said, you have a monster inside yourself, and you need to embrace that monster. Know that he is there. And only when you do that can you control him. In the Bible, it says the meek will inherit the earth. The original translation of the word meek was those who have swords, but keep them in the scabbard. So it's basically like what I call the peaceful warrior, which is what I feel I am, in which I encourage all you guys to be, which is you could be a mushroom cloud land motherfucker.

You could hurt somebody very deliberately if you had to, but you choose not to because you know that potential inside yourself and you know what you're capable of. And yes, you even embrace it, but you channel it. It's almost like having a nuclear bomb inside of you that you channel into positive means rather than trying to suppress it, rather than trying to deny it, rather than doing what most American men are doing right now, which is stepping highly into their femininity and becoming basically fucking pussies.

I literally feel sorry for women in today's age because men are so goddamn emasculated, they're so feminized, and they're made to feel so guilty for being men, for being warriors, for being killers, that women don't even feel like they can protect them anymore. And the attraction is just going down and down because men are refusing to step into their masculinity. Here's something that may be difficult for some of you to realize. Masculinity includes the ability to kill. Masculinity includes the ability to be a warrior and to protect your loved ones.

Masculinity includes aggression. It includes war. It includes the warrior spirit. But here's the difference between somebody who is controlled by that rage inside of them and somebody who controls it. The difference is the person who could control it becomes a peaceful warrior, and he uses that energy. He uses that killer instinct to crush it with women, to crush it in business, to crush it in lifting weights, to maintaining a proper diet, to becoming the very best man he can be. When you try to repress it, not only are you repressing something that will probably inevitably explode, and you're the guy who probably would be recruited into something where atrocities are committed, but you're also missing out on an entire cauldron of extremely powerful energy to propel you to your goals.

There's a quote in the book, Gates of Fire, which is about the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae, where he says, listen, we're not training to be warriors to fight the enemy. We're training to fight the enemy within ourself. And what is the enemy within yourself? It's greed. It's lust. It's weakness. It's vice. It's those quote unquote sins that bring you into a miserable existence. When you're a warrior, when you embrace that warrior inside yourself, you get something that's even more precious than something that you'll get from trying to repress it, which is discipline.

The discipline to go to the gym when you don't feel like it. The discipline to put in a 14 hour day harnessing that warrior spirit, that same warrior spirit that you heard at the top of the show with those Native Americans screaming out their honor songs. I can't even believe how sick it is. Not only are you embracing that, the discipline and masculinity to endure rejection after rejection after rejection when you're trying to get better with women. So as most of you know, I'm a dating coach and I help guys get better with women.

In order to get good with women, you have to step highly into your masculine energy. Masculinity is towards oriented, which means it goes towards its goals rather than running away from what it is afraid of. So rather than being afraid of being rejected and thus not approaching the girl, you go towards your goal of getting that girl and you roll up to her being internally validated, meaning you congratulate yourself on the effort, not the result, and you don't really give a shit what she thinks. And that's why I had a podcast episode a couple episodes ago that is how to not give a literal shit what women think of you.

That is masculinity. Masculinity is also about the numbers. How many girls can I open this week? How many phone calls can I make in my business? How many homes can I go look at in my real estate deals? How many times can I go to the gym this week? Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu this week? Or whatever you're trying to accomplish, it's all about the numbers. You don't care about the results so much because you know that the result is out of your hands. You care about the numbers that you put down.

That is masculine. Masculinity is also aggressive. Now, aggressiveness has been unfortunately demonized by many movements in today's society, but aggression is what creates success in all avenues that men pursue. So, yes, there is, I guess, toxic masculinity, which is violence, which is rape, and negative repercussions of an energy. But just so you know, there's also toxic femininity, right? Destroying somebody's reputation, for example. These things become toxic when you try to repress them and you don't admit that they're there, when you don't embrace them, when you don't fully explore them and feel that energy inside yourself.

So, when you listen to the song at the end of this podcast, I want you to get into that warrior spirit. I want that same spirit that those Native Americans are singing to be pumping through your body, to be your blood, to be your life force. Because you have that warrior inside yourself. You are born a warrior. You are from a lineage of warriors. You come from literally 200,000 years of war culture. And while perhaps the need for warriors isn't as extreme as it was several hundred years ago, we still need warriors in society.

Because if we're all in a derpa state, playing video games, eating shitty food, and not trying to improve ourselves, this society is going to collapse. We need that warrior aggression. We need that killer inside ourselves. And when the killer comes to your doorstep and tries to hurt your family, tries to rape your daughter, what the fuck can you do? Are you training? Are you preparing for that day when you might have to fight for your life? I'm going to tell you, a lot of you guys, if you and I went toe-to-toe, I'd probably be able to kill you.

How does that feel? How does that feel? Not every one of you. There's some badass motherfuckers listening, and you know who you are. But a lot of you. How does that feel that there's a guy out there like me who's 45 years old, not in the greatest shape, not super flexible? I could probably choke you out, because all I've been doing is training for four years in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. If I showed up to your doorstep and tried to hurt your family, what would you do in that situation?

It's your job to protect your loved ones. It's your job to call that warrior inside yourself. Even if you're sleeping at 3 a.m. and you hear something go boom in the night, it's your job to say, baby, stay here. I'm going to go take care of this. And you never know, man. It might be the night that you have to fight for your life. Are you cultivating the warrior inside yourself? That gigantic instinct that's in your lizard brain from the beginning of the evolution of humanity, Are you cultivating that and harnessing it and using it to make yourself into the best man you can be?

If you're not, then you can start today, just like I started in Brazilian jiu-jitsu four years ago. Just like I started in training in firearms. In training in how to have a highly masculine mindset. When you fail, you don't go cry like a little girl. You say, you know what? I learned something and I'm going to try again. Put yourself into something that calls upon that warrior spirit. And you guys know I talk about it all the time. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is exactly that. When I go into Brazilian jiu-jitsu and I see guys who are usually above a white belt, I know that motherfucker is a warrior.

He's got the warrior heart. And there's something different about these guys. The way they talk, the way they handle themselves. They're modern day warriors. Calling for that same honor, that same bravery, that same passion that's reflected in that music that we're going to hear at the very end of this episode. And moving even further into this example, do you know in a gorilla tribe, which gorilla protects the other gorillas the most? Which gorilla is the most nurturing, the most caring, the most protective? It's the alpha silverback.

The most masculine, aggressive killer in the entire tribe is the one who goes over to the little baby gorilla when he falls out of a tree and says, hey, bud, are you all right? And he pets him and he nurtures him and he makes sure he's okay because masculinity protects. So it's almost like the killer inside of you becomes the killer that's going to protect your family and your loved ones. Because there isn't just one kind of killer. There isn't the only kind of killer that's a serial killer or somebody who's going to end up in prison for the rest of his life.

Protectors are killers too. It's like I said, it's the sheepdog who protects the sheep from the wolves. And there are wolves out there, brother, even in this day where we seem to be in a society that's so sophisticated and so ahead of its time. It's only been as little as 140 years that Native American tribes were still out on the plains, still down in the canyons of Arizona, holding out against the U.S. Army. I even heard a mildly entertaining story where the visitor center at Yellowstone was built like in the late 1800s.

And there was actually a Native American tribe nearby and they didn't know what the hell was happening. And actually a Native American warrior killed some tourists that was out there. Can you believe that? Like he was at the visitor center of Yellowstone and suddenly a Native American rolled up and said, who the fuck is this? And he killed them because that was their culture and that's how they protected themselves. They were true warriors. And again, that honor song, it captures it, man. I know it does.

It captures that warrior spirit. But again, for them, they're not just warmongers. It's that love, love of tribe, love of family, protecting our tribe. They say to their loved ones, I will die for you. And for those of you who have children, you know exactly what the hell I'm talking about. Are you able to call upon that killer inside yourself to protect your child, to do whatever it takes to make sure that he or she is successful? I saw this picture on Facebook recently where this kid is like climbing up a ladder.

And one of the steps is her dad's arm, which is all bloody. And the dad is just holding onto the ladder with the kid standing on it with the bloody arm. That's the killer instinct, the ability to endure the pain, to go into discomfort, to be disciplined, not always for yourself, but for love of those who you love. That's where we harness the killer inside ourselves. And that's where we become the best man we can be. So let's honor the warriors of our past. Let's listen to that song together.

And if you want more of that, boys, I'm going to put two songs from their album. It's called Sharpshooter. I'm going to put two songs at the very end of my playlist, Mark's Lift Heavy Ass Weights. And if you're anything like me, you're going to start with those songs. The next time you go into the gym, call upon that killer inside yourself. Embrace him and put him into the mission of becoming the best man you can be. Why? Not only for the success of yourself, but most importantly, to protect, provide, and preside over those who you love.

That's your job as a man. Please do Midnight Express the justice of perhaps following them on Facebook, liking their music on Spotify, and maybe even come out to one of their events where I'm going to be there fucking starting a riot. They're going to be like, who's this goddamn crazy white boy, man, doing push-ups in the middle of our drum circle? It just gets me so pumped up. But Midnight Express, I salute you, brothers. You guys are true warriors, and I absolutely love what you're doing.
